What a coincidence that DC activist Michael Crawford should publish on Huff Post today his thoughts on (without mentioning anybody’s name mind you) why it would it is a better idea to ignore the National Organization For Marraige (NOM) Summer For Marriage Tour instead of feeding fire to their claims of gays just being aggressive, antagonistic and effed up which supports why the deviants shouldn’t be able to touch something as sacred as marriage.

The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) announced its “Summer for Marriage Tour 2010” a week ago which will crisscross the east coast, mid-west and southern states holding a series of 20 rallies encouraging supporters to stand up for marriage. Starting July 14th, the month-long tour will stop in key battleground areas of the marriage debate, educating local communities on why marriage between one man and one woman should be defended.
The first stop on the tour will begin in Augusta, Maine on July 14th and will wrap up in Washington, DC on August 15th. Here’s a copy of the full schedule:

Judge Walker’s ruling: which will it be?
As with last time, the players covering the trial Courage Campaign, Firedog Lake and San Jose’s Mercury News did a great job in relaying today’s in-house court activities.
Ultimately we favor Mercury News to get the best insight on what happened today in the courtroom simply because they’re the most unbiased in opinion of the three. No doubt Courage Campaign is probably at this very moment waving a virtual tin cup around in some email for donations. Okay, so this morning we get our second Facebook message from All Or Not All’s Josh Einsohn. The first one if you recall we featured 2 weeks ago in our post Courage Campaign Gets Slammed On $100K Outreach For Yet Another Prop 8 Trial Reinactment.
In that post Einsohn, who heads up LA-based equality outreach and education group All Or Not All, straight up accused the Courage Campaign of unnecessarily reaching out to the LGBT public $100k for an unnecessary media campaign; a re-enactment of the Prop 8 trail. As Einsohn stated in his Facebook message broadcast this had already been done by John Ainsworth and John Ireland with YouTube videos posted on their site Marriagetrial.com for any and all to see. Why did Courage Campaign feel the need to do this over with tin cup in hand for donations from the public to boot?

Old flyer from back in the day when Courage was really rakin’ in the dough
Check out this Facebook message we just received:
For those of you who just received an email from the Courage Campaign asking you to raise $100K to produce a Prop. 8 Trial recreation, please be aware that there is already a fully-completed re-enactment of the Prop. 8 Trial available at www.marriagetrial.com. The producers, John Ainsworth and John Ireland, used the transcripts from the trial and, using their own money, time and donated services from friends, they put together a fantastic account of this historical trial.
The cast is stellar and includes Oscar nominee Tess Harper (No Country for Old Men, Tender Mercies), Pamela Reed (Jericho, Parks & Recreation, The Right Stuff), Gedde Watanabe (E.R., “Long Duk Dong” from Sixteen Candles) and Gregory Itizin (Emmy nominee for his portrayal of President Logan on 24) along with Peter Jason, Jack Laufer, Adrienne Barbeau, Tuc Watkins, Arye Gross and many other well-known, well-respected actors who donated their time to come and participate in a project they deeply believed was crucial for the community, the state and the country.
