Prop 8 Donor List Database Gets LA Times Rerun
We have to ask why the LA Times is doing this? Why now? Could it be because tensions are quite high these days as folks await Judge Walker’s ruling on the case? And then of course there’s that recent Supreme Court ruling ordering The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) to provide Maine’s state election officials with information about its donors.
Wait. Okay. We get it. Is this a face-rubbing in the dirt and passive aggressive swipe at NOM? If so, we love it. Cause we’re pretty sure they’re gonna hate it. Not only does the Prop 8 donor list database feature heavy-hitters in terms of big spenders from all states across the country for both Yes and No on 8, but also has a handy search feature so you can look for donors by their name. This includes the ability to search by company as well.
Well this certainly ought to reignite some resentments. Good job LA Times. Smart way to exploit a hot topic and rehash some good drama in the meantime.
