Renwl Planning Meeting Sat. May 16
Looks like it’s pretty official: we’re not waiting for 2012 after all. The marriage equality initiative will be on the 2010 ballot if Prop 8 is not overturned by the Supreme Court.
So we have our work cut out!
Our next meeting for the West Adams/South LA Equality team will be Saturday May 16, at 12 noon. I’m already aware that a few of you cannot make this one. However, I’ll make sure you get the information on all topics discussed. Here’s a few things I’d like to talk about in the next meeting:
*Next canvassing date
*Fundraising for our group (Stanley Bennett Clay’s play and other ideas)
*Phonebanking
*New volunteer coordinator
*Church outreach
For the meeting we’re looking at an hour tops. I’d like to be in and out so that you all can enjoy the rest of your Saturday. John Patterson also suggests that you may want to spend the rest of your day at the Long Beach Pride Festival which is happening that Saturday as well.
For those of you who cannot make it because Saturdays are a challenge we’re going to do our best to schedule the next meeting on Sunday.
I look forward to seeing the rest of you at John’s house on Saturday, May 16th. Please contact us for directions and address if you’re new and would like to join Renwl.

I was just searching around about this when I found your blog post. I’m just dropping by to say that I definitely liked seeing this post, it is really clear and well written. Are you thinking of posting more about this? It looks like there is more material here for future posts.
