Eryakah Badu Live At House Of Blues Sunset On New Years Eve

Time for a quick watermelon break from marriage equality kiddies. We loooooove us some Erykah Badu. The moment when we heard her take on Chaka Khan’s Sweet Thing we knew this girl was somethin’ special. How perfect that the high priestess of neo-soul is descending on LA LA land to bring in the new year with us Angelenos. Badu has a new album comin’ out and we hear that it is the BOMB. The 11-track drop New Amerykah Part 2: Return Of The Ankh, is scheduled to hit the streets Febuary 23rd of 2010. And of course, you know she’s gonna dedicate most of her House Of Blues (HOB) set to the new album along with the hits we so know and love.
Tickets are still on sale at $97.00 a pop—at that price one can only hope that they’re serving champagne, hors d’oeuvres and throwin’ in a back rub and a free copy of the new album plus a goodie bag handed to you on your way out. So make it snappy cause even at that price they’re bound to sell out fast.
